Are you able to link a workflow email to the Record it is associated with if the workflows are being sent to Users?

For example, I want to set a workflow that when a task is overdue it sends them an email that that particular task is overdue or if a Lead has not been actioned, they will get an email to advise the Lead has not been actioned and gives a link to that lead?
