Currently our office has 3 locations. All three have the same workflow, but the tasks are done by different people in each location.
Right now I have to create THREE different workflow rules to trigger the same task. The only difference is who the task is being assigned to based on location.
Please allow us to assign criteria to tasks as well or some other work around.
This is what I want to be able to do with ONE workflow rule:
Workflow Rule: New Potential
Criteria: Contract Signed Date is not empty.
Task 1: Local Admin will create a new job folder in Dropbox.
Criteria 1: If location equals Denver, assign to Angela.
Criteria 2: if location equals Oklahoma City, assign to Amy.
I used to remember being able to assign things by roles based on location. I am not sure when things changed, but now it is cumbersome to manage the exact same workflow across multiply locations, simply for the fact that I have to duplicate all the rules and all the tasks. This is a pain in the butt and also cuts into the limited number of rules that are allowed per module. If/When we add more locations, we will run out of workflow rules and the entire system will be useless!!!
