Workflow Rule Execution Based On Status Change

Hi I have seen some information on this, but still am confused about it.

I want to have workflow rules that send email alerts if the status of, say a Sales Order, gets changed.

So for instance in the Sales Orders, there is a status field to which I have added some custom statuses. When the Sales Order gets changed to "my custom status 1", I want to fire off an e-mail to my accounting department.

It seems that when I go to create a rule it will only allow me to execute on Create or Edit (of a Sales Order, or anything else). But again, I am looking to execute on status change. I have seen it mentioned that I may need the Enterprise Edition of ZOHO CRM for this to be an option, as I am currently using the Professional Edition. 

I would consider upgrading to Enterprise if I thought this would be possible once I did so. Can anyone confirm that this is the case?

On this page:  http://www.zoho.com/crm/help/erutaef321.html#modify-criteria-pattern it says, a little more than half way down the page under Workflow Management, that "Workflow Field Updates" are only available in Enterprise, but even then you only get 3? Is this true? Even in Enterprise I can only create 3 Field Update Email Alert Rules for all of my CRM?
