Workflow rule for new call activity only

Workflow rule for new call activity only

Setting up a new workflow rule for NEW calls only, there is a 'created or modified' option available. This suggests it would trigger the action for both new and update events? I think there used to be an option for created items only.

When running tests, however, it does run only on new record creation. When editing the call, it does not fire up the action. That's what I want but am confused by the WF setup terminology.

Any experience with this?
