Zoho Business looks like it could work very well for us as a company Intranet w/ a possible future expansion into PROJECTS & CRM.

BUT, and maybe I'm just an idjit, the whole domain validation has me concerned.

AND, apparently I can't add users without a domain validation?

What happens when I validate my existing domain?

We already have a domain w/ a business website, call it mydomain DOT com. I'm concerned that if I validate mydomain DOT com, all of a sudden people won't be able to get to my website and will be re-directed to a ZOHO login screen?

We already have email addresses: user @ mydomain DOT com and our mail server & webmail is mail. mydomain DOT com.

...and ZOHO wants/creates more 3rd level(?) domains like wiki. mydomain DOT com? if it creates mail. mydomain DOT com I know I'll be screwed.

I can't have ZOHO grabbing, re-directing or messing w/ our mail server or website.

Does this mean I have to wave a magic wand called CNAME (?) (trying to make heads or tails out of the instructions has me banging my head against the wall - something I usually reserve for income tax deadlines) and come up with something like: intranet .mydomain DOT com ? or go the big spender route and register another domain ( mydomain DOT net ?)

If I have to have another domain, what does it get me other than a special url (which just goes to a ZOHO Business login screen?) and an extra email address that I don't need?

I'm so confused
