Writer not saving

Twice in the last week I have had problems saving Writer documents. Any work done during that session was lost. The problems occurred on two different machines, both using Firefox. I did get an error message indicating that I should copy my work before exiting. Foolishly, I didn't follow that advice because when I tried to save it again, it appeared that it was saving it.
