year over year widget

Currently there is the ability to generate a widget(s) that will compare sales numbers; 
today (29th) to yesterday (28th), week 17 vs week 16, 2021 vs 2020. See image:


What I am not able to see/figure out is the most common of comparison; what did we do 29/2021 vs 29/2021. The same would be true for a week over week calculation.  How can I compare number for date/this year vs date/last year?
