Zoho and Java

Its just excitement, but I am wanting to evaluate Zoho CRM as quickly as possible. I am currently looking at SugarCRM, vTiger and Zoho, with a view to delivering a large CRM project with Open Source.
Does the Zoho product run within a Java session? and is it the same code as vTiger or has there been a lot of porting done?
The forums here seem a little *quite* and I am curious, is this just because things are new, or are most of thee developer community on their holidays, you never know
Any feedback would be appreciated. On a separate note, is there a Wiki or similar for documents on the product? especially for developers, or is the documentation similar/exactly same as vTiger?
