Zoho app integrations utterly useless?

Zoho app integrations utterly useless?

Heya guys,

So my company currently uses quickbooks for all accounting, as that is what our accountant uses, and we're not changing that anytime soon. We've used zoho inventory for a little while now for products we assembly for sale. Were are a contact manufacture, and also do design work. For zoho inventory, we use it to track our raw parts, and when assembled, we make a bundle to then sell to the customer.

That worked fine, but we wanted to try out zoho CRM to help organize our client base. I enabled the integrattions for everything on it, but why in the world does it not sync the invoices from zoho inventory to the invoices on zoho CRM? It puts them in their own little "finance" module that is completely separate from the main CRM invoices. Even the products, which we have accurate stock in Zoho inventory, only syncs the names, and not the actual amount..

It is completely useless the way that the syncing works, unless I am missing something here. The way it has to work for it to be useful is:
  1. I make an invoice in inventory
  2. It is actually sync'd as a standard top level invoice in CRM.
  3. Product amounts are removed in inventory as well as CRM.
Anything short of that makes the integration useless. As if I make an invoice in inventory now, I would have to go to CRM, find the little drop down menu that shows the invoice sync'd from inventory, and duplicate it to be a "true" invoice in CRM.

Also, I would have to constantly manually update item counts from inventory to CRM, to keep them having accurate stock counts..

Unless there's a way to actually make this work in a way that makes sense, I guess we'll just stick to only using inventory, and not using CRM.

Thanks!
Kyle
