I use a custom field for my three different brands. Since I wanted to start a newsletter I recogniced there is no option to import from Zoho books to Zoho campaign. Only through CRM. I can't sort my customers because the custom field is not synced to crm.

What's the best workaround to start newsletters with zoho books?
I dont really use crm tbh.

You could look at using a workflow rule in Zoho Books that triggers a Webhook. This webhook can send the contacts information to a Zoho Campaigns List via API.

ZOHO CRM is really the base for all other apps in the Zoho Eco-system. While it may seem a bit more work, keeping your CRM updated will ensure all other apps are synced with the correct data. 

Following this paradigm, we keep the sync process between Zoho Books and CRM frequent with all custom fields in Zoho Books created also in CRM to accommodate the sync mapping.
Then we run our campaigns off CRM rather than Books.

On top of this, we created several workflow rules to update the fields in real time, whenever the update executed in Zoho Books. It works perfectly
