Zoho Books Is MTD-Ready (UK Edition)

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is coming into effect in the UK in April 2019. If your business is above the VAT threshold of £85,000, you must submit your VAT returns using an MTD-compliant accounting software.

Today, we are happy to announce that Zoho Books is MTD-ready and we’ve successfully submitted the first VAT return for a customer under the MTD VAT pilot programme through Zoho Books. We did this just weeks after HMRC listed Zoho Books on its website as a software that supports MTD for VAT. Check out our blog to know more.

MTD VAT Pilot Programme

The HMRC launched an MTD VAT Pilot Programme to give businesses early-access to its platform. Signing up for the pilot programme enables you to stay ahead of the curve in being MTD-compliant. It gives you access to the VAT filing and gets you MTD-ready ahead of its official launch.

How can you participate in the pilot programme?

Businesses meeting the HMRC's criteria are eligible for beta VAT filing now. Under the MTD VAT pilot programme, we're offering beta VAT filing for businesses in the UK. If you’ve not enabled international trade within Zoho Books, you’ll find a banner in the Dashboard. Click  Join MTD VAT Pilot and just fill out the form that pops up. Once the HMRC approves it, we will onboard you and start VAT filing.

We will open this functionality to all users later. If you have any questions, leave a comment below or send an email to support@zohobooks.com

Alternatively, you can join us for a free webinar on 'Getting MTD-ready with Zoho Books' on 23 October, 2018 at 12 PM BST to learn more.
