July has been an exciting month for Zoho Books! This month, we're excited to introduce HTML PDF Templates, Placeholders as Pills, expanded approval workflows for Sales Returns and Journals, and significant compliance updates across the India, UK, and Kenya editions. Read on to discover everything that’s new!
HTML PDF Templates for Custom Modules
You can now create PDF templates that match your business requirements with the new
HTML PDF Templates. Build document templates from scratch using HTML and CSS, or customize one of the ready-made templates. Add dynamic placeholders, apply conditional logic, perform calculations, and control page layouts to generate professional PDFs tailored to your business.
File Self Assessment Tax Returns [UK Edition]
Eligible UK businesses can now prepare and submit
Self Assessment Tax Returns (SA100) to HMRC directly from Zoho Books. Generate your return, review the supported forms, and submit it to receive an Information Reference (IR) Mark as confirmation.
eTIMS Integration for Non-VAT Registered Organizations [Kenya Edition]
Zoho Books now supports
eTIMS e-invoicing for non-VAT registered businesses in the Kenya edition. You can push sales and purchase transactions directly to iTax using the required Tax Registration Number. Sales transactions are treated as Non-VAT Exempt, and you can select the same exemption type for purchases from non-VAT registered vendors.
Zoho Inventory Add-On Updates
- You can configure Simple, Multi-Level, or Custom Approval workflows for your Sales Returns. This feature is available for organizations that support the Accepted status for Sales Returns.
- Zoho Books now lets you create barcode label templates using HTML and CSS. Customize label layouts, define custom page sizes, and use placeholders to display organization, item, batch, and serial number details.
- Track and analyze purchase order data more effectively with the new Purchase Order By Item report.
- Filter purchase receives by approval status across the list page, custom views, advanced search, and the Vendor and Item details pages.
- You can now bulk-import images for items and composite items in Zoho Books.
- Scheduling is now supported for the Batch Details report.
- In the Inventory Summary report, when you apply the Shipment and Receives filter, the In-Transit column displays the combined quantity of in-transit purchase receives and transfer order stock.
- You can now include Credit Notes in the Profit by Item report.
Other Feature Enhancements
- Zoho Books now supports custom approval workflows for Manual Journals.
- You can now upload an attachment to a TDS challan from the TDS Challan details page. [India Edition]
- We now supports terminal payments through Zoho Payments. [India Edition]
- You can now import and export TDS and TDS Group taxes under Settings. [India Edition]
- You can now select months and years as time interval units in the Inventory Aging Summary report.
- You can now have contextual conversations about Custom Module records in Zoho Books, allowing you to ask questions, retrieve information, and interact with record-specific data.
