Hello users,
October brings a range of new features and enhancements to Zoho Books, designed to simplify compliance, streamline accounting workflows, and improve inventory management. From the launch of the Nigeria Edition and France’s e-invoicing capabilities to enhanced reporting and automation, these updates help businesses work more efficiently. We’ve also introduced several enhancements across Zoho Inventory and other key areas to make everyday operations smoother.
Zoho Books is Now Available in Nigeria [Nigeria Edition]
- We are delighted to announce the launch of the Nigeria edition of Zoho Books. Built to fully align with Nigeria's tax and compliance requirements, the Nigeria edition includes:
- A tailored tax experience compliant with Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) regulations.
- Tax automation powered by Zoho Tax for accurate and efficient transaction processing.
- NRS-compliant e-invoicing support via Remita, a certified third-party provider.
- VAT return generation and filing aligned with NRS requirements.
- Support for withholding VAT and tax.
- Reverse charge mechanism support for sales and purchase transactions.
- A dedicated migration tool for existing Global Edition users transitioning to the Nigeria edition.
E-Invoicing and E-Reporting [France Edition]
You can now
send electronic invoices and report sales data directly from Zoho Books to meet France's e-invoicing and e-reporting mandate. Zoho Books automatically decides whether a transaction needs e-invoicing or e-reporting, so you don't have to work out the right path yourself. This is powered by B2Brouter, an approved network provider, and uses your organisation's own SIREN, SIRET, and VAT details. You can also fetch bills and vendor credits automatically, track transaction statuses end to end, and act on anything that needs your attention.
Introducing Netting
If a customer and vendor are linked, you can now offset their outstanding receivable and payable balances directly through a
netting entry, instead of recording separate customer and vendor payments.
Subtotals for Line Items [Global, US & Canada Editions]
You can now insert subtotal rows anywhere within a transaction's line items, making it easy to group and total specific sets of items under a header. This is especially useful for transactions that span multiple pages or need per-section totals.
To insert a subtotal row below a line item, click the More icon next to it, and select Insert New Subtotal. You can also click the dropdown next to + New Row below the Item Table, and select New Subtotal to add one.
