We are updating the GIF service in Zoho Cliq as Tenor's GIF API will no longer be available from June 30, 2026. As part of this change, we're moving from Tenor to GIPHY to ensure uninterrupted GIF support and a seamless experience.

What is changing?  

Organizations currently using Tenor, either through an explicit configuration or via the default GIF provider setting, will be automatically migrated to GIPHY.

• No action is required from administrators to complete this migration.

• Users can continue searching for and sharing GIFs as usual after the switch.

How to disable GIFs?

If your organization prefers not to allow GIFs in conversations, administrators can disable GIF sharing by navigating to the Admin Panel → Organization → Configurations → Conversations → Emoticons → GIFs (GIPHY).
