Zoho Comparrision to other webbased email clients
I've been trying out Zoho for the past couple of days as an alternative to Gmail/Yahoo. Thought I'd leave a few first impressions that might help the developers or others.
1. Zoho looked good on first load.
2. Zoho was annoying to set up in terms of users and accounts, overly complicated with it's own idea of what things should be. But, support forum had a quick reply.
3. Zoho is quite a bit slower than gmail or yahoo in terms of inbox browsing. Opening mail etc. This is my biggest annoyance so far.
4. Zoho's mail interface is lacking modern GUI features. As an example, an extra delete mail button on the preview panel would be great. As would priority mail features, and even simply having different colored labels.
5. Even at the largest font setting, the Zoho interface is still looking quite small. Annoying on a laptop with a trackpad. Bigger buttons would be good.
6. I understand Zoho has to make a profit, but more explanation into how and why would be good. The support forum staff seem nice. But the "premium" feature notifications are a bit corporate, as in, pay us or you don't get it. I would suggest be either nice, or corporate but make a choice in terms of language to the end user.
Again, these are just my first impressions in comparison to other mail services. I wouldn't be here if I was happy with the others. This is just feedback. If you have anything to add, please do so keeping that in mind.
