Product Updates:

  • Webform A/B testing got better with a suite of enhancements. Powered by Zia, the list of enhancements include A/B testing recommendations for underperforming webforms, suggestions to change for better conversion, suggestions to reallocate traffic based on a webform variant's performance, and more.   •  Wizards streamline the data capture process by segmenting lengthy forms into a series of screens. The latest enchantments to the Wizards primarily focus on rectifying errors that may arise during the Wizards creation stage. These errors could potentially disrupt the flow, create unintended loops and lead to certain challenges. The updates are designed to guide you in resolving such errors..   • Zoho CRM's sandbox now supports Zoho Survey and Zoho Social integrations. This facilitates easy testing and deployment of the integration in production environment. Learn more.
  • Explore the latest enhancements to Zia! Now, when new records are created, Zia can assist by automatically assigning them to the appropriate owner based on existing patterns. You have the option to specify the user pool for Zia to consider when making suggestions. Choose between the owner suggested by Zia or reassign the record to someone else. We provide a breakdown of manually reassigned records to evaluate the effectiveness of Zia's suggestions. Learn more. 
  • Introducing "Assignment Threshold," a feature designed to empower sales teams in efficiently managing their workload. You now have the option to set permissible limits on new records for each user and prevent assignments when a preset backlog threshold is reached at the per-user level. Automatically reassign records to other users whenever the backlog threshold is breached, ensuring a fair and manageable workload for everyone.Check this post for more details.
  • Remember the convenient"saved filters" feature in Zoho CRM? It is a handy tool that lets you save specific search criteria, making data retrieval quick and easy. Exciting news! In response to popular demand from the community, we have increased the permissible limit for save filters from 5 to 10. This enhancement also lets you to arrange them in the order that suits you best. Check out the post to learn more.

Useful Discussions:

  • In case you missed it, you can now customize the email template when sending reports through the Report Scheduler in Zoho CRM. For more details, check out the recent comment by @Ishwarya in this post.
  • @Thierry Penninckx faced the challenge of importing a .csv file with over 10,000 records into a multi-line field in Zoho CRM. The data source was an export from a SQL Table, and they needed to determine the character to use for separating each line. Discover how he tackled this issue in this post. 

  • @Brandon changed the name of a CRM module module but later decided to revert to the original name. When attempting to create  a new custom module with the same name (currently not in use), he encountered a message stating the the name was already in use. Explore @Pheranda's response here to learn how to overcome this issue. 

  • @sales blueraycargo faced a situation where, for leads requiring nurturing before closure, their customer service team assigned them to a dedicated sub-team and updated the status accordingly. Functions:

  • Kudos to @Hugh Marshall for assisting @Natalie Petkovic with the Function that automatically updates all the necessary details from a related account to newly created records in a custom module.

  • @Christo Kleinhans needed a code to capture the closing date of deal records in a custom date field, provided it's empty in the first place. Check out the code posted by @Hugh Marshall fulfilling this requirement. 

  • @Super Admin successfully wrote the Function for creating a new deal from an existing one, but needed guidance on linking the newly created deal to the same Contact record. That's where @Kamal Tiwari stepped in, filling the gap with the necessary code to make it happen. Curious to learn more? Check out the post for the full details!

  • Kudos to @Piyush for sharing the Deluge code that helps connect Zoho Projects with Zoho CRM!
  • Explore the code shared by @Dorset Water Softeners that enables you to auto-update the address fields in the Meeting record automatically from the related Contact.

 

Dev's Corner:

  • Understanding how to control the JSON response returned by the CRM Functions REST API is crucial when integrating with third-party applications, as demonstrated in @mark fodder's case with Slack. Check @Emranul Hassan's response here to get the necessary insights on how to go about achieving the same.
  • @Ofer Bartal has Tasks related to Leads and wanted the Tasks list to display Lead images. As this is not' supported out of the box, he decided to build a Web Tab Widget to meet this requirement. Although he initially faced a challenge in selecting the image URL for the Lead, he eventually solved it and, shared the solution for others in this post.
  • Kudos to @Piyush Goyal for sharing  the Client Script that enables you to collect data through a pop-up and updates them in the relevant fields.
