Excuse me for pointing out the obvious, however CRM systems are about collecting data, interrogating the data so that you can use the data to build your business (Or a business for our clients)
Global Search
CRM global search allowing only 6 fields is POINTLESS. A waste of time. If any of our team need to look up "data" somewhere that is not listed in those TINY 6 fields they will not find it. Case in point is additional email addresses or telephone numbers or maiden names, account numbers, etc etc. So an operator not finding the information could quite easily re enter data causing a dupe record!
Google Apps
The same now applies with Google Apps integration and GMAIL. If we have a customer using a different email address those emails wont be associated with their accout /lead /contact etc. Further those people thinking that the email address is not found in the CRM will then think they should create a new account THUS another dupe!
I am sorry, but at least with Salesforce ALL data is searchable. Using their quick search at the top of a page I can find even parts of data within a field.
SURELY this must really defeat the purpose of collating data, the inability to "mine" it or "sort" it!
Sorry but this is A MUST HAVE before I can recommend this to any clients. Quite frankly it would be like selling my clients a car without wheels.
