It would be a great addition if we are able to group records by a field, not only sort them.

For example lets say I have a field Account Status - a) Potential b) Customer

Currently I can sort all the records, but it would be nice if I am also able to group them by the values and collapse each group (similar to Zoho Project).

So this way instead of

Account A - Customer

Account B - Customer

Account C - Potential 

I will see in the list view

Customer

    Account A

    Account B

Potential 

    Account C

It is not a major redefinition of the way we view data, but I think it will be really helpful.

If you can also add other things similar to Reports like 

Group by Date Field - week / month / year
