ZOHO CRM GUI (GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE) AND NATIVE APP FOR IPHONE : SUGGESTIONS AND REQUESTS, COMPARED TO HIGHRISE
(This message has also be posted in the conversation with the general topic "iPhone App ?" in Zoho Mobile forum and also in Zoho CRM Forum -- feel free to respond or comment here or there, thank you)
Hi dear Zoho team,
I would like to suggest some important features related to the GUI of ZOHO CRM in General, and some features related more specifically to the features that any native Zoho CRM app for iPhone should have.
Let's start with the last of these two topics, Zoho for iphone App :
- we still lack a stand alone native iphone App, where all major data for each contact (phone numbers, emails, notes or logs about conversations, etc.) is available when off-line (no internet connection) ;
- integration with iphone : taping a phone number in Zoho CRM for iPhone enables the call, same thing with email
These two points are very important, and are very well covered by the recently launched native iphone app for Highrise from 37 signals, which is in my opinion the only competitor to Zoho when we talk about collaborative easy going low cost CRM.
I REALLY LACK A REAL AND FUNCTIONAL ZOHO CRM IPHONE APP, as most contact info results ON THE GO during meetings, and being able to work on such data when on the GO WITHOUT NEEDING INTERNET CONNECTION would be INDEED GREAT !
Now my second point about ZOHO GUI and a comparison with HIGHRISE as regards the graphic interface and the effectiveness when it comes to collaboration and sharing data with team members.
I have to tell that if HIGHRISE was less expensive as for a luxurious online address book, I would fully use it (i have a free account since years when they launched) because of it's less clutered GUI than Zoho, easy hierarchy and rules level definition (included as a standard feature, and not as a premium like in Zoho CRM), and TAGS feature which makes it very easy to customize contacts management and tailor it to ones needs.
But I LOVE email integration with Zoho CRM and also some real CRM features that HIGHRISE lacks (email campaign is a basic),
still, the point is 37 signals app is EASIER AND MORE PLEASANT TO USE, which makes a lot when we talk about COLLABORATIVE TOOL : it is only useful if the people use it.
I haven't succeeded to make the other team members of my little Non Profit organization use ZOHO...
Are you guys trying to work on these features these days ?
Or do you think that they are irrelevant?
I still miss my killer app for having all important contacts data in sync everywhere from phone, to computer to clouds, and getting a bit desperate about it.
Thank you for commenting, suggesting, and following up the conversation about this topic.
