Zoho CRM is HIPAA Compliant now

Hello everyone,

We have been overwhelmed with the increase of usage and popularity of Zoho CRM across a range of industries over the years. It is now time we expand our compliance management a notch, to provide a more secure, confidential, and rightful platform to our ever trusting customers.

To this effect, we are glad to announce that Zoho CRM is now going to support HIPAA compliance for our healthcare customers.
As more and more healthcare companies use CRM to manage their customer data it was important for us to shoulder the responsibility of ensuring data privacy.

Thus, we offer features that can be used by the healthcare organizations to secure personal health information and restrict export of such data in order to adhere with the HIPAA guidelines.

Here's a brief on what CRM admins can do:
By marking the modules and the fields that contain personal health data of an individual they can:
  • Restrict personal health data from being accessed through API.
  • Restrict export of personal health data during periodic data export procedures carried out in CRM. 
  • Encrypt the fields that contain personal health information using CRM's data encryption method to prevent unauthorized access. 
  • Restrict transfer of personal health data across Zoho apps as a result of integration.
