Hello everyone,
We are glad to inform you that the Zoho CRM mobile app is now HIPAA compliant.
What is HIPAA?
HIPAA also known as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, is a law that is required to protect sensitive health information from being disclosed without the patient's consent or knowledge.
Why should you encrypt your mobile database?
Encryption of your mobile database is one of the most important security features to protect personal data such as email id, phone numbers, addresses etc. as secure as possible. In the CRM app you can encrypt your mobile database even when the app is offline (i.e. when the CRM app is not connected to the internet).
Encryption of mobile database:
As a part of HIPAA, you can encrypt your mobile database directly from the app by following the steps mentioned below:
1. Open the CRM mobile app
2. Go to 'Settings'
3. Scroll down and select 'Privacy and Security Settings'
4. Enable 'Encrypt data in this device'
