Hello everyone!
We’re delighted to bring you some exciting updates in Zoho CRM that will make your mobile experience even better.Take a look and see how these new iOS and Android additions can make your CRM journey even better.
1. Identifying and merging duplicates in lead conversion for iOS and Android
When you convert a lead in Zoho CRM into a contact, account, or deal, the system checks the existing ones first to ensure you don’t accidentally create duplicate records. This is done using unique fields (fields marked as "do not allow duplicate values") , like an SSN or Order ID, and system-defined fields, such as email address, company name, or lead name.
For example, imagine there’s already a contact named Amelia Burrows with the email address ameliab@zylker.com in your system. When you try to convert a new lead with the same email address, Zoho CRM will recognize that this contact already exists.
Instead of creating a new contact, the system will ask you to add the lead’s details to Amelia Burrows' existing record. This way, all the relevant information is consolidated in one place.
2. Voice-to-Text notes on Android
Zoho CRM’s voice-to-text feature for Android lets you dictate notes and updates directly into the app. It’s especially useful in situations where you need to capture information quickly on the go, such as during meetings, or when multitasking.
Imagine a sales agent at a conference receives a call from a lead interested in scheduling a product demo. With little time to type while in a busy work setting, the agent uses voice-to-text in Zoho CRM to quickly capture a note about the client’s request. This alternative way helps the agent document important details quickly and accurately.
Note: Microphone permission must be enabled to access this feature.
3. Assignment Threshold on iOS
Assignment Threshold helps manage your team’s workload by setting limits on the number of records assigned to each user. When a user exceeds their record limit, an alert will appear on their mobile device, making it easy to reassign tasks and maintain balanced workloads.
The threshold alert will on iOS in the following places:
4. Optional Field Support in Blueprint Transitions on iOS
Blueprints in Zoho CRM helps to enforce structured processes in order to ensure that every critical step is followed. However, the rigidity of mandatory fields in blueprints can sometimes hinder efficiency, particularly when certain information isn't always available or relevant at a specific stage.
To address this, Zoho CRM now offers the flexibility of Optional Fields within blueprints. This feature allows users to move forward in the process even if certain fields aren't filled out. It helps in situations where not all information is needed right away.
For example, during a sales process, you may ask for the client’s budget details. If the client isn’t ready to share this information, marking the budget field optional lets you move forward without delays.
Note: This feature can only be enabled in the Zoho CRM web version when setting up the blueprint.
On iOS devices, when using blueprints, only the fields marked as mandatory need to be filled in immediately. The rest of the fields or checklists, which are optional as set up on the web, can be filled out later or left blank.
Previously, you could only save a blueprint with all fields filled in. Now, with optional fields, you can use the Save as Draft option to save the information you have, even if not all fields are completed.
If you try to save some mandatory fields or checklist items are missing, you'll see an alert to complete them.
We hope that these updates will enhance your user experience within Zoho CRM. Feel free to drop any questions or concerns in the comments below; we're here to assist you every step of the way!
