Dear Zoho community,

we are experiencing a weird problem when enabling Zoho notifications via the Zoho CRM API.

We are able to successfully enable Zoho notificiations from the Lead, Deal and Contact module  by calling this endpoint, see https://www.zoho.com/crm/developer/docs/api/v2/notifications/enable.html . We defined the correct scope, called the correct url, provided the correct payload and we receive a successful response.

However, when modifying a Lead in the Zoho CRM, the external system that subscribed to Zoho Notifications does not receive any update notification event. When we modify a Contact then everything works as expected and the external system receives the update for the contact. And even weirder, when a Deal is modified then the external system just receives a notification for connected Contact (associated to the Deal), but not for the Deal itself.

We have not hit any rate limits and the service user enabling the notifications is and administrator. The same bahavior happens on production and sandbox.

Have you experienced something like this before? Do you have any idea where the problem could be? Is there a way to debug this inside Zoho.
