Latest update (on 26th August, 2021): Complete deprecation of MS Outlook Plug-in has been extended till December 31st, 2021.
Apart from that, we have the following upcoming updates in the Outlook add-in:
- The Outlook add-in will allow to add emails from the Deals. The help doc for this will be shared soon.
- WIP - Ability to add emails by searching a lead/contact through add-in.
- WIP - Ability to associate same emails to multiple records.

Update: Last date for downloading the plugin has been extended till 31st, December 2020.
Keeping the best interest of our users in mind, we are moving away from outdated softwares and embracing the new softwares and solutions that are more relevant and easy to use now.
As such, we have decided to sunset Zoho CRM Plugin for Microsoft Outlook. We are happy to propose a couple of alternatives that can be used readily:
- Office 365 integration with Zoho CRM / IMAP integration for Emails
- Zoho CRM for email Outlook Add-in
We haven't done much enhancements in our Zoho CRM Plugin for MS Outlook for quite some time now, but rather focused more on the alternatives mentioned above to offer solutions that are more relevant now.
This table will highlight the feature-comparison for your reference.
December 15, 2020: Users will be restricted from downloading the plugin. They will be redirected to download and use 'Zoho CRM for email Outlook Add-in' from the product.
August 31, 2021: The 'Zoho CRM Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook' plugin (Mac and Windows) will stop working.
1. What will happen to the data that is already synchronized via Outlook plugin, if I use alternatives?
Any data that is already added to Zoho CRM or Outlook via the plugin will be retained. After March 31st 2021, new data synchronization between Outlook and Zoho CRM will NOT take place.
2. In which editions can I access the alternatives?
Office 365 Integration and IMAP are available for Enterprise and above editions. 'Zoho CRM add-in for email' is available for all editions.
3. Will I be able to continue to use Outlook with these alternatives?
Yes - with the available alternatives, you will be able to use Outlook for your emails. You can refer to the above table to find the features that suit your requirement.
4. Will you address any critical bugs and support queries for Zoho CRM Plug-in for MS Outlook till the EOL?
We will certainly address bugs, security issues and support queries for the plug-in until we sunset it. Others aspects like enhancements, UI changes, feature requests with respect to the plugin will not be taken from immediate effect.
We recommend you to start adopting the alternatives before the EOL.
