Zoho CRM Preventing Record Duplication When Using Data Impor

Hi,

First off I want to congradulate you guys for creating one of the most user friendly database and form processing systems. It is truly a remarkable program.

Now my question. We are using the Zoho CRM. I'd like to know if it is possible to avoid record duplication when using the "Import Data" wizard in the Add Leads section.

For example suppose I upload a few hundred records. First Name | Last Name | Phone | etc. and one of those records is a guy named John Smith. If I upload the same list tomorrow, but that list has new information for the same records, is there a way to tell the system to overwrite the existing records so that no duplication occurs. I'm assuming since there may be numerous John Smith's, that I should first create a field for a unique ID. Supposing I do that how do I instruct Deluge to overwrite existing records with the same ID?

Anyones help would be much appreciated. I am using the application under the free licensing so I don't expect much in the way of support, but if this works out for us I'd like to purchase numerous licenses for company wide usage.
