Zoho Desk data sync shows repeated “temporary error” after successful syncs

Hi everyone,

we are currently using Zoho Analytics with a data synchronization from Zoho Desk.

In the synchronization history, I can see a repeating pattern: the sync runs successfully, but shortly after that, another sync entry fails with the message:

"During the synchronization of data from Zoho Desk, a temporary error occurred."

This seems to happen repeatedly throughout the day.
For example, on 02 Jul 2026, the history shows entries like this:

  • 01:30:40 AM CEST – Success
  • 01:30:47 AM CEST – Failed
  • 04:30:46 AM CEST – Success
  • 04:30:55 AM CEST – Failed
  • 07:30:54 AM CEST – Success
  • 07:31:01 AM CEST – Failed
  • 10:30:59 AM CEST – Success
  • 10:31:08 AM CEST – Failed

So it looks like every successful sync is followed by a failed sync only a few seconds later.

The error message is quite generic, so I am not sure whether this is only a temporary Zoho-side issue or if there is something wrong with our Zoho Desk integration/sync configuration.

My questions are:

  1. Has anyone seen this behavior before?
  2. Does the failed entry mean that some data might be missing, even though the previous sync was marked as successful?
  3. Is there any way to access more detailed sync logs to understand which table or API call failed?
  4. Could this be caused by rate limits or temporary Zoho Desk API issues?
