Zoho Email - Special characters in password does not work

I finally figured it out why my POP email account was not working in Zoho Mail. All our pop accounts have at least two special characters: % or # in them (for security reason we use special characters in all our email passwords). Since Zoho Mail does not seem to save login credentials that have special characters, we are forced to use just letters and numbers for our email passwords if we want to use your service.

Please allow special characters in password. Also, mail+domain.com (+) as username does not work.

What is the ETA for IMAP email client for Zoho Mail? We use different mail clients to access mails and organize mails in different folders. For right now we have no choice but continue using Squirrel Mail webmail as POP is simply not the option for us.
