Zoho IMAP doesn't cut it... back to gmail?

Getting my email on my iphone is a must for me as im on the road a lot. Gmail on the iphone through imap works great, but zoho does not. Anytime you delete a message for my zoho account the inbox count remains, even though there is nothing in the inbox. So every time I look at my phone i think i have new mail but theres nothing there.

As far as i can see, imap sends a notice to the server to mark the message for deletion. Since the iphone only purges for deleted messages every 24 hours minimum im left with a constant inbox count. 

Why cant zoho operate like gmail and hide messages marked for deletion??????? i cant stand this false inbox count and as much as i want to use zoho for small business it looks like im going back to gmail.
