Zoho Lead API and Workflows

I am not getting the workflow to execute on API leads brought over via JOTFORM webforms using the API.  I can get the data in CRM as needed, but it does not trigger a workflow based on a field that is populated and identified in the WorkFlow with the designated "Criteria"

Is there something I am doing wrong, or does automation only work with zoho forms?
