Zoho Mail: Active Sync:Contacts not syncing correctly.

I successfully installed Active Sync and Contacts are now on my Android phone; however, changes I make to the contacts are inconsistently made:

1) when changes are made in Zoho Contacts:

- addition of new contact  = successful update to Android.
- addition of field (eg., new or edited phone number) to existing contact = NO update to Android.

2) when change is made in Android Contacts:

- addition of field (eg., new phone number) to existing contact = creation of NEW contact to Zoho, meaning that there are now duplicate contact entries for a single contact (!).

Are there settings in Zoho or Android to have this work correctly?
