Zoho mail doesn't sync on iPhone

I have a problem with my iPhone and its two email accounts (hosted on zoho mail) with IMAP.  

Since a few days, I started getting the error message: “The mail server “imap.zoho.com” is not responding” occasionally, on both accounts, even if SSL is turned on and all other configurations match the online help, and the accounts don’t sync.

Has anything changed recently or do I have to check something else? It used to work fine up to last week.
