There are some very annoying issues we're having with Zoho Mail:
1. Zoho CRM will not use Zoho Mail's "send mail as" configuration to send mail as alternate addresses, so all emails originating from Zoho CRM show up sent as (whatever)@zoho.com. Why does Zoho Mail support "send mail as", but not Zoho CRM?
2. Zoho Mail's Custom SMTP ports are limited to 25, 465, 587. My mail provider runs SMTP on a different port - why the arbitrary restriction?
3. Emails sent from Zoho Mail aren't showing up in Zoho CRM without manually associating a contact with the message. This is very dumb - why doesn't this happen automatically?
4. Because of Zoho's design philosophy (everyone should want to use zoho mail to host their email), we're forced to have to use our email server to essentially redirect all incoming and outgoing email to the @zoho accounts for every single user we have, and filter sent items into the sent items folder manually. This works ok for incoming mail from contacts, but when we send mail to contacts, it does not show up in the contact summary view. It also doesn't show sent mail unless an incoming mail comes in from a contact to "initiate" the thread.
All of the responses from support around these issues have been nonsensical and unprofessional.
Is it possible to engage with a senior-ish person at Zoho to talk through some of these mail issues, or should we search for a different CRM provider?
