I need some clarity on how emails are 'added' or 'pushed' to the CRM.
I have installed the outlook plug in and I have successfully added emails to contacts etc... here is what I have noticed.
ADDING EMAILS....
- I understand emails 'live' with the contacts. Can an email 'live' with a specific opportunity?... i.e. can you add a specific email to one specific opportunity.
- I understand that viewing a contacts emails in an opportunity the actual contact must be part of the opportunity.
- If emails are kept with the contact then what happens when 1 contact is attached to multiple opportunities? I have noticed that ALL emails associated with that 1 contact is shown on all opportunities that 1 contact is associated with. This can become an issue in our company's application... as an example we might have 1 contact that is associated with 20 opportunities over the entire year. when I get to the 20th opportunity wont the 19 previous opportunities and their associated emails 'clog' up the viewing of the emails related to the 20th opportunity?
-------Am I missing anything here, or is this how it is intended to operate?
SYNCING CONTACTS.....
- I have set up the outlook plug in to sync contacts from a specific contacts folder in outlook. It is called CRM Contacts and it is a 'subfolder' of the main contacts folder.
- In the 'settings' I have directed ZOHO to sync with this specific folder and nothing else.
- When I go to sync, it pulls my entire contacts... (personal etc...)
---------------am I doing something wrong here?
