Zoho Process Flow

We have been using Zoho for a few months but would like to improve our process flow.  The way we see it, the logical path through the CRM would be:
  1. Account - we become aware of or make contact with a new company that might be in need of our products
  2. Contacts - we make contact with the company and define individuals within the organization who might be in need of our products
  3. From these contacts and accounts, we determine LEADS that might be a specific target within a company that we would like to pursue
  4. When a LEAD has been quantified, it becomes a POTENTIAL with a target dollar value, and a likelihood of completions (probability of sale)

To us, this seems like the logical progression through your system, but there does not seem to be  a way to convert a contact into a lead.  In the QuickLinks you can add a new task or potential, but not a new lead.  Can the quick links be customzed so that we can "Add a new Lead" instead of (or in addition to) "add a new task"?
