Zoho Reports - New features rolled out on December 7, 2012 update

More Chart Customization options

With this update, we have added many more options to customize the appearance of the chart as you wish.  These options enhance the look & feel of the chart, to match your taste or to go along with the look & feel of the application, where you are embedding the charts.

Also a newly designed chart Settings screen with a user-friendly layout and ample spacing to capture the various customization options is introduced in this update.

The Axis tab, in the Settings screen provides options to change font style, color and size of the label, tick marks and data label.

The Border and Color tab provides option to change the following setting:

  • Default color of the chart fill
  • Style and color of the grid line and the chart border
  • Background color of the chart

Now you will be able to select the chart type for each series in the combo chart using the Combination tab in the Settings screen.

The screenshot on the left is a sample of a completely customized chart using the new options added in this update.

For more details about the chart settings refer to the Customizing a Chart section in the help document.

More Combination Type

Zoho Reports now supports more combination types for Combo Charts. You can now apply Smooth Line chart in Bar or Stacked Bar charts.

For details refer to Chart Type section in help document.

Split Axis support for more Chart Type

Previously, when you create a Bar or Combination chart with multiple Y-axes, then all the Y-columns will be plotted in a single combined Y-axis scale.

Now Zoho Reports provides support to split the axis and plot each Y-column in its own axis. This support is already available for Line, Scatter and Area Charts.

Sending Invitation mail for new users

When you add new users into Zoho Reports (using the Subscription -> Manage Users -> Add New User option), so far there would be no notification sent to those users to SignUp into Zoho Reports, if they do not have an account already. You had to notify them personally to SignUp.

With this update, when you add new users and if they do not have an account in Zoho Reports, then an invitation mail will be sent to their email id asking them up signup and access Zoho Reports.

You can also resend the invitation mail by clicking the Re-invite User link in the Manage Users page, if they had not signed-up yet.
