Zoho Reports - New features rolled out in January

Multiple Language Support

Zoho Reports user interface is now available in nine different languages. The languages supported are: 

  • Chinese [zh] 
  • English [en]
  • French [fr]
  • German [de]
  • Italian [it]
  • Japanese [ja], 
  • Portuguese [pt]
  • Portuguese (Brazil) [pt_BR] 
  • Spanish [es]

Note: When a user logs in to Zoho Reports, one of the above languages gets set based on the browser's locale setting. Users can switch to any of the other languages, from their Zoho Accounts (https://accounts.zoho.com) Profile page.



Alternate Text for URL Data 

Zoho Reports now allows you to add alternate text to URL columns in a table. Alternate text is a substitute reader-friendly text that will be shown instead of the actual URL. To provide alternate text to all the URL's in a column:


  • Select the column by clicking on the its header.
  • Select Column Properties -> Format Column option from the tool bar or select Format Column option in the right click context menu.
  • In the dialog box that appears, enter your text that describes the URL in the Alternative Text box.
  • Click OK.


Importing Hidden rows/columns from Excel File

Previously, when importing data from Excel file, if the excel table contains hidden rows or columns, only the visible rows will be imported in to the Zoho Reports table by default. Now, Zoho Reports allows you to choose to import the hidden rows/columns by providing Import Hidden Rows/ Columns option in the second step of the Import wizard. Options provided are:


  • Import Hidden Rows: By selecting this option, any hidden rows in the excel sheet will be imported.
  • Import Hidden Columns: By selecting this option, any hidden columns in the excel sheet will be imported.


More Import Settings

You can now choose your own thousand and decimal separator symbol to be used in your data while importing data into your database. Following options are made available under More Settings link for configuring the separators.


  • Thousand Separator: Option to choose your own thousand separator to be used for number, positive number, decimal number  and percentage data type columns. The default value is NONE.
