Can not make appliation public
I can not make an application public. No matter what I do it reverts to private. This happens on the application, on forms, and on reports. There just seems to be no way to make these public. It used to work with no problems but since the new editor was added I have had nothing but problems.

Hi, Under the back up in progress screen, I can see an application that failed. Is the back up still running? Otherwise, should it be in previous run screen? My administrator is worried that it may still be running in the background. Can you clarify? Thank you

Hi everyone I'm hoping that someone may be able to help us with this question. We currently have a list of customers and a list of service codes. In a form we choose a customer name and then choose a service code for that customer. This may look like: Name: John Smith Service Code: 55P662 We have another form that uses the name, but different pieces of information. We want to be able to select the name of customer (John Smith) then it automatically show the service code entered in the other form.
URL Filtering by lookup field in view
Hi all, I have a simple lookup field in a form. The field name is Entity_ID and the main form it references is called Entity. I need to filter this view by Entity but seem unable to do so. Previous suggestions include something like #View:test_view?Entity.Entity_ID=8888888888888 This has no effect and does not filter the view. Can't edit after saving a new view??
My shared users can't edit after saving a new view. They can edit fine from one of the views I created with the app. But if they then re-sort, hide-columns etc to customize the view, then save it under a new name, if they then click to edit a record, there is an error message that says "there is no such form in zoho creator" and the app locks up. Serious issue with old app builder: Freeflow script editor wipes code
Hi, I'm experiencing a curious issue. I'll 'save' a code segment using the freeflow script editor (in the old app builder), Zoho will say 'Saved' but then when I click back on the 'On Input' script, all the code is gone. It seems like the script validator is faulty and does not show errors when I click save. It's very frustrating as the first time I did it, I didn't realise and lost about 50 lines of code. permalinks for reports
When I generate a permalink for a report, it seems to create a static snapshot -- that is, only the data in Zoho at the time the permalink was generated appears; the report doesn't update as new data is entered. Is this correct/expected?
Formula field with Child dependency
I have two forms, Clients and Attendance. Clients has First_Name and Last_Name fields. Attendance has Client, Date, and Status fields. Current E-Mail Notification Suggested Best Practice
Currently, we're using the new application builder. The help documents reference going into On Success in the builder to use deluge. But I also see the email notification on the new app builder form settings page. From the way I see it, if we want simple form submission on success, we can use the form builder settings area. But if we need more advanced, we should use deluge. Is this correct?
Inventory Database
I added trucks to my inventory DB. Now I want to be able to subtract the Part used from that truck, and update the total in my inventory. Presently it just subtracts when personal uses a part. I have a script below. I am trying to picture this script, but keep getting confused. URGENT PROBLEM - Intermittent Email Sending
Hi, We have had the facility to email out quotes from our application for the last year with no issues whatsoever. Suddenly around 10 days ago, email sending has become completely sporadic. Some emails send, others don't. I've monitored behaviour over the last hour and only 5 of 16 emails sent, which is representative of what we have experienced. Some users on VPN can login but cannot access application
Hello, I am wondering if there would be a problem accessing a Zoho Creator application via a VPN? I have built an application for a company and users can access the application when they are on networked computers in the office but cannot access the application when they are working remotely through a VPN. check if date entered correctly
I get an error on the following expression that checks if a date has been entered correctly if ( input.Data_do_Auto.matches("[0-9]{2}/[0-9]{2}/[0-9]{4}")) It seems that using string expression in a ".matches" function isn´t allowed. I appreciate any help on this issue. It would be nice if ZC could put more effort on documenting the deluge functions. This would save us a lot of time and make using ZC more viable. Thanks.
Customer Portal
I do not have the "Customer Portal" option in my account (at least that I can find). I looked where it says it should be but there are only four options there (ie General, Customize, Share, & Sections).
Public user registration?
Can Creator be used to create an on-demand database service? I am looking for a platform where I can deploy commercial database apps, where users can register for an account, and then use the app. Based on my limited playing with Creator, it appears the only way to deploy a shared database is through invites, which won't work for me. Hide buttons in Stateless forms works erroneously.
When a hide button-name; (or even show) is invoked upon on-load of a stateless form, it hides all the buttons on the form and not just the one being referred to. Note: The form definition with actions is attached. -Varun.
Email alerts for approaching and past due dates
I am working on a way to track required documents for a small fleet of fairly large boats. I need to have emails sent to alert us as documents are coming due. Along with this I am using a Action Tracker to alert to approaching dates repairs are due. If anyone can help me make it clear and simple I would appreciate it. How to use XML response from Creator form submit
I have created an HTML view in Zoho Creator that posts data to a creator form. I did this because I don't want all the form field to be displayed to the form user. My form submits perfectly. However the xml response that comes from the form submit gets returned as a downloaded file and I want to use the <status> element to provide feedback to the user of the form. How do I consume the response data since I cannot use javascript or php in a Zoho Creator HTML form?

Hi, I developed an application and set it to public. Is there any limit on how many users can access the application at the same time? Will there be a problem it is accessed by around 300 users at the same time?
Best practice when purging records?
I will need to purge records from my 3 hosted databases to keep below the 100K usage limit. Are there any tips to making this go smoothly? For example, can the database be live (i.e. available for users to input new records) while simultaneously deleting records? If not, how do I take a data base "off line" temporarily?
