Task list
Hi, I want to ask if it is possible to create task lists within task lists. A more hierarchal system would help in our project management. If not please add as soon as possible. Thanks Everyone. asad.akbar
[Projects 2.0] :Check boxes for closing tasks
I am starting a project plan using zoho project and will comment on the interface / functionality, etc. as I move along. My first comment is on using check boxes as a way to close tasks. This seems to me contr-intuitive as most applications would use it to select an item, not close it. On more than one occasion I inadvertaintly closed tasks while wanting to select them instead. I observed this is also an issue with tasks on certain CRM modules (imho it is implemented inconsistently there as well).
Email forum response
Hi, Was wondering if it is possible to email a response or a new post to the forum in zho projects. I know in zoho creator records can be added via email. It would be cool to be able to reply to a response directly via the email notifications. Was wondering if this is possible? Thanks

when you are logging time for a previous date, it's easy to log time for the current date instead since that is the default. can you revise the edit function on a timesheet entry to revise the date. you can revise the hours but you can't revise the date. that would save you having to delete an entry and then have to redo the entry on a different date. yem.ling.fong

Is there any config setting or option for selecting the template to display The messages in the forums ? I think the design of the page is not very good, we can see only one or two messages per screen. When there is a big number of messages it is impossible to see many of them in a shot. In ver 1. of Zoho Project, we could click the Upcoming Milestones tab and see a COMPLETE listing of ALL upcoming milestones on one page (this is extremely useful for us as we can see if any tasks are duplicated anywhere through our tasklists). In version 2 of Project, clicking the Upcoming Milestones link (in the green box) merely expands and contracts the box/recordset ... to be useful, it should when clicked show a complete listing of all Upcoming Milestones in the right/main project pane. Hi Love the new look, thank you. One point. If I am in a task list, and I edit a task and "save", the task list auto closes and I have to open it again. Worse still, the header starts with a "-" rather than a "+". It's necessary to click the "-" to make it into a "+" to open the list again. Hi guys, Great work on Zoho Projects. A suggestion; instead of "Milestones (1)" on a calendar date, I think it'd be great to see the item's name (ie "Mega Proposal Due"). Also for tasks, and meetings. Cheers, Paul Erskine
Importing from other than MS Project
I would like to propose a feature to import from .csv or other similar standard formats in addition to MS Project. Additionally, we need enhanced ability to more closely map project or other import formats to the structure for Zoho Projects. Something similiar to the structure of the csv export could suffice in the interim. Thank you for your consideration.

2.0 problems
Hi, Thanks for releasing version 2.0. Overall it looks good... however, there seems to be a problem with the 'Overdue Tasks' toggle under the Dashboard section. If you click it, it actually shows an overdue task that has an end date a month from today. It is true that the task has started yesterday but that does not mean it is overdue! it is only overdue when it has passed the end-date, not just the start-date! I thought maybe you are taking in the completed percentage into account, so I put in a
[Projects 2.0] :Error in "Send notification" when uploading latest version of document
Hi, There seems to be an error in the "Send notification to members..." function when uploading a new version of a document. When I click the "Save notification" box, the check box disappears and I do not get the box that shows me the available members to select for emailing. Hi, Please bring back the old functionality of being able to view all milestones and associated tasks like in v1. I want to use ZP for planning several big projects, and that overview is crucial!

In ZP 1.0 dependencies were viewable in a side calendar. I'm not sure where to look for this now? Also, I can't seem to get the dependencies to 'take' despite making sure there are no date issues. An apply button and some type of AJAXy confirmation would be most useful for this! Boyan

Hi Prasanna, A quick feature request. It would be very useful if we could select an owner at the tasklist level. 2 options in a pop-up prompt would then clarify: 1. Override ownership of all tasklist tasks? 2. Keep original ownership of individual tasks but assign ownership to tasklist. This would be very useful because large projects frequently have people who are responsible at a tasklist level but may not necessarily be responsible for each individual task in the tasklist. Boyan

Hi, There is a search tag's feature, but this does not appear to work. We have uploaded a large store of documents into our Zoho project, but now we have to manually sift through them because the tag search doesn't work. This is very frustrating! Please advise.

It's customary (and a definite courtesy) to have some sort of file upload indicator showing things like upload progress, % uploaded, and speed. Otherwise, it's impossible to tell whether the upload is going well or has slowed down to a crawl. Can Zoho provide this in the future? Blake

1. The user can type a max of 140 characters - so it is better to display the full text the "Activities" section than to trim it & display on click. 2. Also, it would be better to increase the height of "What am I working on right now" text box & allow the written text to wrap within the text box than scrolling horizontally. When the auto-email sends in response to a new or updated "Task Note" the link provided in the email has an error. There is a "." before the word "projects" that renders the webpage unreachable. Dear projects.zoho.com development team, Q 1 I would like to use projects.zoho.com as my projects management system. I have a project running that started june 3th; I would like to enter some meetings I had with the client and a few words per meeting as a conclusion of each meeting. Would like the ability to have multiple people notified via e-mail when adding a Note
When adding a not to a Task, it would be nice to have the option to notify other users so they can see the conversation that is going on over that task.
