ZOHO PROJECTS!!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME WITH ALL THESE MANUAL ENTRIES IN YOUR PRODUCT. OMG I'M DYING. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING TO FIX THESE GROSS, DISGUSTING WASTES OF TIME. HOW CAN YOU CREATE AN AUTOMATION AND YOU STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE A FIELD FOR GROUPS, BUDGET BASED ON, AND SO MANY OTHERS IN YOUR TEMPLATE. WHY DO I NEED TO CREATE PROJECTS FROM TEMPLATE AND HAVE TO SET GR0UP EVERY TIME FOR LITERALLY THE SAME TYPE OF WOOORRRKKKKKK.
Tip 38: Project Custom Section and Custom Status
You can now customize your project layout with new sections, custom fields, and project status. Every project will have a default layout called the Standard Layout. Can I NOT invite a Client when connecting Projects to Books?
I've setup a Project with a Primary Contact in order to integrate with Books. However, my Client got an invite to join the project. I don't want that. I only want to establish the connection so we can invoice with Books. How do I do that? Thanks, Scott

Log activities / hours spent on a project
We are a consulting company and will use PROJECTS to log the hour spent by our consultant on each project. It seems that i have to select a project and be in the project to log my activities / hours. I can't log it from one page by selecting the different project I work on. This is an issue as our consultants can simultanely work on 10-20 project so it is really time consuming. Is there a solution for that ? Thank you
Custom Field Restrictions & Character Counts
Why are there restrictions on how many custom fields that can be added to tasks, projects, and issues? It forces companies to limit the amount of data recorded which is not an accurate representation of business reporting.
Milestones and Task Lists
I have two questions I'm hoping the Zoho Community will be able to assist me with: What is the difference between a milestone and a task list? Seems like they are both ways to group tasks. Do you need to use milestones and task lists? What if I simply wanted to log my time to a few basic tasks? Here is some more information. Subtask Work Hours Not Reflected in Milestones
I have a Task List related to a milestone. Within that task list, I have subtasks with Work hours associated. When I look at the Milestone view, the work hours from subtasks do not show. In this screen shot, you can see the work hours associated to the "SEO Done" milestone. In this screen shot, you can see the milestone where hours are not displayed: (As an aside, I'm aware of the "roll up" feature for projects; a brief experimentation with that showed NO workhours displayed for tasks for subtasks.

Forum Categories do not Delete
When I'm adding a forum there is a "right side panel" that lists "Forum Categories". I have tons of categories for projects that have been trashed and Archived. I am absolutely certain that none of those projects ever had forums. When I delete a category (by clicking on the trash can beside it) the Category goes away but the next time I create another Forum, all the same categories are still there. Please help.
Add Reminder function in the Pages section
When meeting with clients, I use the Pages section to take notes. It would be great to be able to have a check mark for items we write as "to do" and be able to find them quickly.

What does the "+3 more" in the corner of notifications mean? The "Notifications" that drop down when you click on the little Bell icon in the upper right corner of the zoho screen. How can I access those?
Printing invidual Issues
I don't know if I'm the only one that still prints issues... When I used to print individual issues it would have the issue number at the top of the print out (e.g. IUT-292) Recently I noticed that the issue number is now missing from the print out. Was something changed recently?
Why is "(1001) in front of project names in Browser Tabs
I just noticed that there is not a "(1001)" in front of the project name in my Chrome browser tabs. This is very inconvenient because there is a verly limited number of characters available in the tab label and with (1001) in front of the name I can't always tell what project the tab has open...
Zoho Notification Emails in Outlook: Show Original Message by Default
When I receive notification emails from Zoho projects, I see what appears to be an auto-generated summary at the top, and a link below that that says "Show Original Message". The information I need is not included in the summary, so I always need to click the link to see the information that is important to me (e.g. I am looking for what the new task status is, number of work hours, etc.). It is annoying to keep having to click this to see the information I need. How can I see the "original message"

Are these apps integrated? I feel like they are not and that they must be used separately. For example, can you create a task specific to a specific lead and have it show up in Zoho projects as well and on the Calendar?
Suggestions to make Checklist Extension better
I think the Checklist extension has some awesome potential. A few suggestions to make it better: on the Checklist tab, indicate the number of checklists so that there is some visual indicator that there's something to be looked at there...similar to showing the number of subtasks on the subtask tab. Be able to reorder checklist items. Checklist templates so we can add a pre-existing templates. Scott

Delivery date Bug
Hello,
Dear, is there any option to plan the bug? At the moment I can only see the expiration date in the calendar. but in a bug I have 2 important milestones:
1.- Development
2.- Development tests
I demand delivery date for each of these milestones, in order to deliver a date to my client.
Currently I have them in Excel spreadsheet, but it is getting a little complicated. I would like to have the option of planning the delivery dates and being able to enter the actual dates.

Hi, I have a question regarding the integrtion between Zoho CRm and Zoho Project. Is it possible to create a project, and have it linked to multiple clients (accounts) that are in CRM ? And also, is it possible to link tasks to specific clients ? Thank you for your help.
Tip 35: Rejecting time logs in Zoho Projects
Hi, do you know you can reject a time log in Zoho Projects? Points to remember: Whoever has the permission to approve a time log can reject it too. When a time log is rejected, the activity is notified via the Feed, Activity Stream, Email, and Notification panel. A rejected time log will not be listed in the Timesheet view. It can be fetched by filtering the timesheet status. When a rejected time log is edited, its status will be updated to ‘Pending’ automatically and it will be resent for approval.
Can't add tasks quickly without importing them
Hello, I must be missing this obvious feature found in all task software. how can you add tasks quickly? I see the import option but no one wants to spend time setting up an import sheet everytime they import tasks. Where is the quick add option or shortcut key? Thanks, Ryan.
Zoho projects - Invoices
Hello, I would like to know how I can bill the projects directly from Zoho Books. I currently have all the integrations enabled, but I am not capable. I can only bill from Zoho Projects. I would also like to know if you can bill a project with a fixed cost from Zoho Projects, regardless of the number of hours. Finally I would like to know if I can invoice a pack of hours in Zoho Projects and as the project progresses, the previously invoiced hours will be discounted. Thank you,
Can't Delete Link Issues options
We're currently using Bugtracker to follow up all our BUGS with our Dev team nevertheless we just use one of the LINKED ISSUES options (Blocked) and we want to remove all the others given that they lead to confusion amongst the dev team Is there any way to do this through Project/Bugtracker or on your end? BUG - Task List selection of a Task
Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to Classic View. 2. Click on a Task List. 3. Now click on the first Task in the Task List. You will jump to a screen with that task, but the other tasks that should also show up on the left disappear (this is the bug). 4. Now select a different Task List from the dropdown selector on the upper left. Once you select a different task list you'll see all the tasks as you should have on step 3. Thanks

I need to configure a Issue management workflow, where certain user may insert issues, and other users will have the responsibility to evaluate, prioritise and dispatch them to the appropriate solutioning. Timesheet export all projects
It used to be possible to export the timesheets for All projects/All users by selecting the 'All' option in the 'Users' field. However this option now returns no results and it appears that all users need to selected individually. Is the 'All' Users option now redundant?
Log User
The user did not access the zoho projects platform and there was a notification of tasks and in the logo presents that carried out an action. However, the user does not access the platform has 1 week. See attachment
Google Tasks Not Added To Task List
My account is setup so several tasks are added when a new project is created from a project template. I have integrated Zoho Project with my Google Apps account so the new tasks will be added to my Google Tasks. However, when tasks are added in Google, they are not added under an existing Google Tasks List like it is with Zoho CRM. Instead, every project milestone creates a new task list in Google Tasks. Then the tasks belonging to the milestone are added under the new list. This is a problem.

Make the presence of subtasks more obvious
We often work from Kanban view and when opening a task, the presence of subtasks is at the bottom of the screen (and depending on monitor size, off the screen) and tucked in with the Comments, Subtasks, Log Hours, Documents, etc. The presence of subtasks within a task is not clear. Suggestions to improve UI: If closing the parent task and there are open subtasks, display a warning prompt that there are unclosed subtasks. This would help prevent accidental closure of subtasks. User Interface Idea of the Year for Projects :-)
The filtering function is incredibly useful and powerful. It would be even more useful if (optionally) every time a filter was selected it did not close the filter box. See attached screenshot. This would allow a project manager or user to slice and dice tasks in many ways without having to endlessly reopen the filter box. Thank you for considering.
