New Field for tasks
Would be great if we could costumize the field of task for example create diferent kind of task like review, buld, test, etc. The same for its states. Could you see for more information the process model "MSF 4" and "Work Items". pancho.ramirez
Reports
I'm noticing the Reports section doesn't display the status of all tasks and milestones. I can't figure out how it actually chooses which ones to display either. Perhaps I am misusing the software, or don't understand how this goes, or it is not working properly. webmaster
mobile usage?
It would be great if I could use zoho projects with my palm treos internal web browser. The page loads ok, but not all functions seem to work. Are there plans for a mobile version? sebastian

During Creating New Forum Post
During Creating New Forum Post ... The Notify to user section contains user list. Each entry in the user list is selected by click of a mouse which is both normal and expected. But to deselect I can't just click again ! This denial of "deselection" is probably normal but not expected. The selection/deselection should be a togling with the click of a mouse. Right now only way to deselect a user from the list is by clicking while pressing control key. Samyak samyak.bhuta
Dashboard Layout
I think Dashboard can be better laid out. Infact some ( like me ) would like to have "Latest Project Activity" on top or after second after the week view. I guess individual section can be made collapsible or probably as accordian. Also they can be reordered by drag drop ( the way it is done in task reorder ) why not ? they are all divs right ? And what about having it two column ? Suggestions may be my random thought, but bottom line is the Dashboard layout lacks something to make it really suffice
Forum Categorization Feature Request
I am the site administrator on zoho projects and it seems I'm the only one who can go back and re-categorize a previous forum post (posts that were made prior to when you added the categorization feature)... is there any way I can allow my manager or contractor to do this? erin

Problem on Forum
Hi Zoho Support, It seems that a post on our forum has a bug or something which is not leting us to see the content of the forum. If we change the page (navagation page on the forum) the error still occours. Thanks, David dalssoft
Writer not reflecting updates to document
1. I uploaded a Word doc. 2. From the Documents tab I click on the "Open in Zoho Writer" icon 3. I made a small change to the document and clicked "SAVE" 4. Opened the Word doc and change is not reflected. Am I doing something wrong? I am using IE 7 with tabbed browsing. Also tried in Firefox Thanks Neil
Documents - Add folder when uploading new file
Feature request, the ability to specify a new folder name when you are in the process of uploading a new file. This way you do not have to think through doing this step before hand but can do it on the fly. Thanks for your work, this is an awesome application. tech
Zoho Project
First, let me thank you for creating this. I think it is great and it keeps on getting better. But as you have noticed, we always ask for more. :-) I have used basecamp for project management and I was about to sign up with Concept Share to share images and designs with my clients when I discovered Zoho. Viewing Task
When clicking task on calendar it goes to task & milestones but does not open the task selected. Also if all the milestones are minimized there is no way to maximize them but there is the collapse. jamie.steapp

Hi - Does Zoho Projects have the ability to build dependencies among tasks? - i.e. Task B is dependent on Task A being completed, and cannot start until Task A is done? iCal feeds
After help from Zoho, I have discovered that the new Projects iCal feed will deliver tasks and meetings to my desktop calendar (Mozilla Lightning), but not milestones. This seems odd to me, because-- a). milestones appear on the Projects work calendar, so why should they not be downloaded? b). To me, the word "milestone" suggests a major event in the life of a project (eg, "deliverable due today"), so I would expect milestones to be the first and most important items to be downloaded. c). iCal still does not work.
The iCal feed on my consolidated Work Calendar *still* doesn't work with my desktop calendar (Mozilla Lightning). Lightning does fine with iCal feeds from both Google Calendar and Basecamp: changes in both show up almost immediately. But when I install a feed from Zoho, nothing happens. mmwaldrop

- Mouseover function to reveal the edit/delete is finicky, especially on a 1920x res screen - Months of calendar should stay the same horizontal space so we can quickly scroll through the months without repositioning the mouse pointer. Hello, These are some awesome tools. Thanks! We are currently using a similar online tool for project management (basecamp) but are liking what we see here and are examining further to possibly switch. But, one thing that I just noticed that would be a huge plus to us. When meeting announcements get sent out of the project app, or the meetings.zoho.com app, they are just text emails. iCal would be perfect and meet our needs beautifully. seth

I signed up for zoho porjects but i cant access any of the functions... i cant start a project the help section says How to create a new project ? (Top) To create a new project,you can use the settings>company settings, add new project. but i cant find that nor the edit buttons nor any buttons maybe the system requirements fopr me to be an administrator on the computer i use are in effect? i see only projects: no projects users: myslef logged in and the following script but no controls or places
Tabs missing
I want to upload a document, for sharing. I've tried both Firefox 2 and IE6, but don't have the tabs (Dashboard Tasks & Milestones Calendar Meetings Documents...) shown in help, that lets me upload/download documents. How do I get to this? sk8ski2004
missing users
I added some people to my user list but they never received a login email, so I deleted them. Then I added them in again. Their name shows up on the list but they never received a login message. When I try to do "forgot password" with their email address, it says the user is missing. When I go into the user list and delete them, they receive an email saying that they have been removed from the list. But they never get any login screen. Please help!!!

client access - cannot delete tasks
Hi: I'am logged in with a client role, and was creating some tasks, I wanted to delete one task which was created by mistake, and it doe snot allow me todo that. Also once a task is created, and notes are created, I cannot choose to reassign the notes to different users, only the choice that was made during note creation stays. Let me know your thoughts on it. Thanks.

As part of the project details, I think it would be helpful to have the client contact information - phone, address, email contacts, etc. Not sure about this thought but it would also be cool to have a communication log. Phone log, email log, etc. robb
Suggestion for Forums
Hello there, I have a very simple and important suggestion to make the Forums more user-friendly. In the post page the threads are not chronologically ordered. Neither does it follow a tree structure. This makes checking for new posts/comments extremely difficult. The 'Recent Forum Comments' in the Dashboard is much better as it just orders the comments in order of their posting. Please make the forum thread pages similar. Logged time for a user gone
Yesterday the time logged was there (on the timesheet), today it's gone. Timesheet is completely blank. *frustrated sigh* I *knew* I was jinxing Zoho by upgrading my account and paying for it! Software always works until it's paid for....Murphy's law of software. View others tasks bug
If I chose View Others Tasks->Bob The list is now spread over 2 pages. On first pages I see 3 empty task lists. I click Navigate 2. On second page I see tasks for everyone. The speed you can view and add tasks is what I like most about zoho, please don't break it :) james
PDA version
I sent this already, but from my PDA. I would love a PDA version of this that can be used on mobile platforms. Also, "Basecamp" has a widget tat some students made for their site, it works well...it's would be great to have one for ZoHo too. Zoho Projects : Closer integration with Writer/Sheet/Show
Under Documents tab .doc / .xls / .ppt files uploaded can be viewed using Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet and Zoho Show respectively. Once the .doc / .xls file is opened in Writer/Sheet & edited, upon saving the changes will be saved back as next version in Zoho Projects. In My Home, a user can see the tasks, milestones and meetings across the projects in a list view format. In addition to that now the user can see them in "Work Calendar". In My Home, there is one more calendar , "My Log Calendar" wherein
Dependency relationships among tasks
I don't see how one can establish a tasks dependency upon another task and have it visible in the gantt chart as is typical in project mgmt software jrogers
Milestones still out of order
I'm still having an issue with milestones being listed out of order. I tried to post to the other "milestones out of order" thread but either bug reports are moderated or something's wrong with forum. I've tried reordering all tasks listed under each milestone, that doesn't change anything. I still have milestones listed by ending dates, top down: Aug 25 Sep 1 Aug 22 Aug 18 Aug 16 Aug 15 Aug 14 Aug 12 Aug 9 Aug 7 Aug 3 All ending dates, And all except for the first one, in reverse order.
Task Colors (and dates) - What's The Key?
Hi guys, I can't figure out the color key to the tasks in a list under an "upcoming milestone". Today is August 11. I have a Milestone with an End Date of August 14, it says (3 days to go) I have a High Priority Task with a Start Date of today- Aug 11 and a Duration of 4 days. Its Due Date is showing as Aug 14.
