Mail Merge Sub Fields in Related Lists
Hi Z Community: I wanted to reach out the Z Community and see how users are working with Mail Merge > Sub Fields > Related Lists. This is where you have to Create Table in order to use the Sub Fields for a Related List in a merged Z Writer document. We have many documents where we need to reuse the Sub Fields and if you do to, you may have experienced the attached Oops! We can't always include an entire section of a lengthy agreement within a single table in order to access the field more than once.
Zia: Setting "intended audience" for "ease of reading" values
Currently Zia has no "intended audience" setting for "ease of reading" values. This results in high values for the number of "Run On Sentences" and "PolySyllabic Words". Document map
Hi, i just tried Zoho for the first time, like it. However I will be staying with OpenOffice because of one feature I ALWAYS use that is not in Zoho. That is a "document map". For large documents (over 10 pages or so) it is a massive help to see a document map 'pane' on the left hand side so you can see teh structure of H1, H2, H3 etc and easily navigate to that part of the doc. How do I insert a comment into the text. I am trying to write a document with several editing and making suggested changes. How can I see their input, without having them have to select a different color everytime they write? Is there any feature for multiple authors (similar to MS WORD Tracking.)? Thank

Invisibles
I like being able to view "invisibles" -- paragraph symbols and those dots between words -- when I write. Is it possible to display these in my documents? Can this feature be added? Thanks, Michael.

Use of international measures (cm instead if in)
It seems not possible to switch to European measurement units (centimeters / millimeters) in Writer. All measures are in inches which is very confusing and unfortunately prevents Writer to be an alternative to off-line word processing software. Although I find your selection of toolbar buttons well layed out and comprehensive, I do wish you would a button for changing case: 1) Convert to lower case; 2) Convert to upper case; 3) Convert to Title Case; 4) Invert case. intelligo

I work at a TV station and converting scripts for the Web needs to easy - but not as pricey as Word. I see answers in Notepad replacements like metapad - but those, of course, lack other needed things like spell-check. So... can Zoho help me? Google Docs still doesn't have it, and that would be a bit leg up on the competition!
Table sort rows by column, please
I use tables a lot. In my client-side word processor (WordPerfect), I can enter data in a table in random order, then alphanumerically sort the rows by column to order them, e.g., by date, by URL, by some other paramater. For example, such an ability is a true time- and error-saver when you have to prepare a long list of document titles with descriptions and the dates they were generated, then order them by date or reorder them by some other criteria. Page Control
I'd like some control on Page Setup. Like to set export to PDF to be A4 instead of US Letter. But also to be able to set margins. Also I couldn't find a way to get a page break (but then I'm not an expert). Without all of this what comes out on the page is a bit of a lottery.
I need one inch margins.
But I am not sure what to enter in because the option is in percentage rather than inches. I am using standard sized printer paper.
Tab setting capability desirable
I am very impressed with ZOHO. I am using it more and more. Thanks for creating this fine office suite. That said, I want to suggest that tab setting capability would be a valuable addition to ZOHO Writer's editing tools. Keep up the great work! jamesbath
Missing tabulator-functions
I�m a new user. After ulpoading a doc-file, this document has lost the spaces,i�ve produces in WORD with tabulators. Is this right so or to I make mistakes? I�m not able to find tabultor and/or tabulator functions in Zoho. How can I find/use them in Zoho Writer? Thanks a lot for support!

maybe more functions as in SciWriter would be nice as more different kind of headings :) a placeable toc and footnotes :) different sections and all the grat stuff in this application which also supports latex ;) and much more take a view on it and get some inspiration ;)
TOC and placing
Is it purposedly so that I can't put the table of content anywhere else than in the start of the document? If so, it probably would be wise to enable the possibility of placing it at any place preferred, example after the title page.
Margins

Hi, just started using Zoho Writer, very impressed so far. I have one question though: I write texts in both English and German and would like to set the language of a new document when starting to work on it. I'm aware that I can spell check in different languages, but is it possible to change characters like double quotes or speech marks? In English they look like this: "Hello", whereas in German they should look like this: „Hello". Sounds like a minor thing, but if you're writing a lot of dialog,

sorting a text list
Good Afternoon, Tried and tried,to no avail. All I want to do is alphabetize a text list. I find no recognized info on this subject, from instructions or forums. Is this a sore subject,? Default paper size . . .
Try as I may, I have failed to set Zoho Writer such that new documents have A4 paper sized as default. I have tried this via a template and by ticking the 'default' check box. page breaks?
this is probably a very simple issue, but one that immediately stops me from using Zoho. why can't i view individual pages with zoho writer? when i import .docs from word, it will show me where the page breaks should? be, but without the headers and footers (including footnotes). is it that difficult to present the view one page at a time? this precludes footnotes at the end of each page, or really having a sense for formatting and printing pages as they would print (without going to the print

Hi there, It seems that when a document is shared to me, I don't have the option to Export it, is that right? This is a strange and inconcenient restriction, because I can Save As under a different name and then export that copy. best wishes, Mo
header/footer
I would love to see a header/footer function added to Zoho writer, with of course the possibility to add images to it for adding a logo. Last but not least I would like to say that I really love all Zoho apllications!
file name while saving
why is the writer does not automatically choose the first sentence or the first word in the file as the name of the file while we choose to save? i feel it would be more convenient.

Protected Document Import
This is likely a rare issue: Imports of file-protected Word documents (a document requiring a password to open) fails on import to Writer. No prompt if provided for credentials to allow the file to be opened and imported, with the import failing. Note, the application properly notes the import failed, providing an error and leaving the application intact (the exception is handled gracefully). It appears simply that Writer has no provision for opening protected docs.
