Getting started with OneAuth

What is OneAuth?

OneAuth is a free industry-standard multi-factor authentication (MFA) app developed by Zoho for securing your Zoho accounts and social accounts such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Configuring MFA for your online accounts will increase the security, thereby reducing the risk of a breach or experiencing any unauthorized access to your accounts. OneAuth is available in iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.

Advantages of using OneAuth

Passwordless sign-in

Zoho OneAuth's passwordless sign-in will come in handy if you have to sign in to your Zoho account more often. Passwordless sign-in is 100% safer and faster than password-based MFA.

Mobile SSO for your Zoho account

OneAuth provides you a true single sign-on (SSO) experience, if you have multiple Zoho applications on your mobile device. Once OneAuth is configured for your account, you don't have to enter your credentials to sign in when you install a new Zoho mobile app.

OTP authenticator for third-party online accounts

Secure your other online accounts such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Microsoft via OneAuth's inbuilt One-time Passcode (OTP) authenticator. You can also use the OTP authenticator as a guest user without signing in or creating a Zoho account. However, to back up and sync your TFA secrets you will need to sign in to your Zoho account.

Easy backup and recovery

OneAuth comes up with a revamped backup and recovery systems. A passphrase can be used to recover your OneAuth app if you lose your device or uninstall the app.

Authenticate multiple accounts

Zoho OneAuth supports using multiple accounts for authentication simultaneously. Set up and secure your business and personal Zoho accounts with MFA using OneAuth.

Multi-device sign-in

Sign in to your OneAuth app on multiple devices and mark them as primary and secondary devices. Secondary devices will be helpful if you lose or cannot use your primary device for authentication like during a travel.

Set up OneAuth on your device

If you want to secure your Zoho account using OneAuth, go though our help guide which explains how OneAuth works and how you can configure it on your device.

If you want to secure your other non-Zoho accounts with OneAuth, you can use OneAuth's OTP authenticator to set up MFA and generated time-based OTP codes for your online accounts.
