Zoho Analytics installs the Zoho Analytics windows service on the host server. By default, this will be started on installation. You could choose to shut down and start as needed.
You can start the Zoho Analytics by following the below steps.
Right-click Zoho Analytics service and click Stop.
Zoho Analytics can be accessed from the server on which it is installed or from other workstations on the network using one of the recommended web browsers. Click here to learn about system requirements.
URL format to access the application: https://<hostname>:<port number>
Replace <hostname> with the hostname of the server on which Zoho Analytics is installed.
Replace <port number> with the port number on which Zoho Analytics is installed.
The default port number is 8443, unless changed at the time of installation.
The Zoho Analytics web-client can be accessed only over an HTTPS connection. Your browser may issue a security warning when you access the application due to a self-signed certificate. It is perfectly safe to bypass the security warnings and access the web-client.
Apply an SSL certificate to permanently avoid such security warnings. Click here to learn more about applying an SSL certificate.
Once the installation is complete, the application will be launched in the browser. Provide the default credentials (the default username and password are both admin), and click Login.
Provide the following information in the popup that appears,
Enter the email address and phone number that are to be associated with the administrator account.
Change the language as required using the Language section, and select the Get free technical support during trial period checkbox to gain expert help.
Click Next to proceed.
Provide the following details to configure your email server:
Enter the SMTP server name and port number in the corresponding fields.
Enter the email address to be used as the sender address for every system generated email.
Provide your username and password.
If your SMTP server requires authentication details to send emails, select the Requires authentication checkbox.
Select the TLS Enabled checkbox if TLS is configured in your email server.
Select the SSL enabled checkbox if your email functions in SSL mode.
On providing the various email settings, click the Test Primary Server Settings button to test the configuration.
Click Save if the test is successful. Your SMTP server will be configured, and every email will be sent through this server.
Click Next to proceed.
The evaluation screen appears, which will guide you through the various steps involved in importing data into Zoho Analytics, creating reports and dashboards, and sharing the created visualizations. To begin this guided evaluation, click the Getting started button.
You can also choose to access the guided evaluation process later, by clicking the View link on the top panel of the Zoho Analytics application. You can also access this by navigating to the Help icon on the top right corner, and selecting the Getting Started option. In the popup that appears, navigate to the required section, and click Start.
