Managing Custom Forms

Gather specific information from event participants by with forms. Use default forms available in Backstage or create your own form using Backstage's simple drag-and-drop Form Builder. You can add new fields, edit field properties, make fields mandatory, modify the form layout, and much more.
 
Select options from the Quick fields  section in the Form Builder to quickly design simple and polished forms with minimal hassle. Other than these preset fields, there are also basic field types under the  Custom fields  section that can be used to expand your form further.

Once created, a form can be included anywhere on the website by adding them as a section. The following forms can be customized in Backstage. Use the links below to see how you can do this for each form:
  1. Event registration form
  2. Sponsor proposal form
  3. Exhibitor request form
  4. Get in touch form
  5. Session feedback form

You can also build your own form to collect information for purposes other than those for which the default form listed above are intended for.

Viewing form responses

View responses submitted through any of the forms you've built or the Get In Touch form.


  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock.
  2. Click the Menu icon for the specific form, then click View ResponsesA list of all the responses you have received for that particular form will be displayed.
    1. Click the Search button at the top of the page to filters responses based on name, contact information or message.

Managing submissions from the Get In Touch form

Manage submissions, which can be comments or questions, you receive through the  Get in Touch  form that are sent by microsite visitors. Keep track of whether you've replied or not by updating the status of each question after addressing them by email. If some questions are asked often, you can create a  custom page  for FAQs and display those questions with helpful answers in your event microsite.


  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock.
  2. Click the Menu icon for the Get in touch form, then click View ResponsesA list of all the responses you have received for that particular form will be displayed.
  3. Click the Menu icon for a particular response, then click View. The View Details panel will appear on the right.
  4. Click Mark as Responded.
    Note: The status cannot be reversed.

Editing form responses

Edit responses submitted through any of the custom forms you've built.




  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock.
  2. Click the Menu icon for the specific form, then click View Responses. A list of all the responses you have received for that particular form will be displayed.
  3. Click the Menu icon for a specific response, then click Edit. The resulting panel will display the individual's form along with its responses.
  4. Click on any field and update the responses
  5. Click Save.

  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock. 
  2. Click the Menu icon for the specific form, then click Preview

Editing a form

Change fields in the form and its properties by editing it.



  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock. 
  2. Click the Menu icon for the specific form, then click EditYou will be directed to a new page for custom form editing.
  3. Make the necessary changes in the Form Builder.
  4. Click Save.

Export responses from a form

Export the list of responses you received from microsite visitors to have a hard copy on hand.



  1. Go to Manage > Custom Forms, from the Dock. 
  2. Click the Menu icon for the specific form, then click Export. The Export Form Data dialogue box will appear. 
    1. Alternatively, you can click View Responses and then Export, from the responses list page of that Custom Form.
  3. If necessary, select the Protect the file with a password checkbox and enter a password. Remember to keep this password in mind, as it will not be stored.
  4. Choose the desired file format for the export.
  5. Click Export.
