Zoho PageSense is a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) platform that is used to track website metrics. Integrate it with Backstage to gain insight into what holds your audience's interest most on your event website and how to optimize it to get more traffic.
Configure PageSense for your portal
Link your Backstage portal with a Zoho PageSense space to activate PageSense for all your events. All event websites will be tracked as separate goals under a selected project in PageSense.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Website Visitor Tracking
- Click the Configure Now button in the PageSense section in the right pane.
- Note: If you have a PageSense portal, skip to Step 5 and 6.
- Enter a name for your PageSense portal in the Create PageSense portal dialog box.
- Click the Create button.
- Select a PageSense portal from the Choose your Zoho PageSense portal dropdown.
- Click the Configure button.
Integrate PageSense with an event
Identify what works for your site and what doesn't and make informed changes from real-time data gathered from your visitors. After connecting your Backstage portal to a Zoho PageSense space, map individual events to a project inside a space in order to start getting data for each event website. Each website will be analyzed as a goal in PageSense.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Website Visitor Tracking
- The Zoho PageSense section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the Integrate now button in the Zoho PageSense section in the right pane. The Zoho PageSense integration dialog box will display with details about which space in your PageSense account is being mapped with your portal in Backstage.
- Click the Connect button in the Zoho PageSense integration dialog box.
Note: Only events that are published online (events that are labelled as Live) can be integrated with Zoho PageSense.
View event website metrics
View key metrics for different pages of your website in the Backstage and get insights into what has caught your audience's eye. Know which speakers and sessions interest your visitors and plan your marketing strategy accordingly.
You can also run experiments on your event website from your PageSense portal to get detailed reports. Run heat maps to understand visitor behavior or funnel analysis tests to identify top-performing pages.
- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Website Visitor Tracking
- The Zoho PageSense section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the menu button near the Zoho PageSense section and click the View report option. The following stats will be visible:
- Top-viewed pages
- Top-viewed speakers
- Top-viewed sessions
- High-traffic countries

Click the Zoho PageSense link at the top of the page to get detailed analytics from your PageSense portal.
Disable PageSense integration for an event
Disconnect your event from PageSense when you want to stop tracking your website's stats.

- Go to Portal Settings > Integrations > Website Visitor Tracking
- The Zoho PageSense section will be displayed in the right pane.
- Click the menu button near the Zoho PageSense section and click the Disconnect option. The Disconnect PageSense integration dialog box will appear.

Click the Disconnect button.
The Zoho PageSense integration is a paid feature enabled based on your subscription plan.
