Customize Text lets you modify the default labels, messages, page text, and image alt text used in your event website. This helps you adapt your event website copy to match your event terminology, audience, brand voice, and accessibility requirements.
For example, you can change labels such as Sign In, update page section text such as Why attend?, or add descriptive alt text for images used on your website.
Customizing Labels and Messages
Use the Labels tab to modify default interface text used across the event website, such as button labels, sign-in text, field labels, validation messages, and other system-generated text.
- Navigate to Design > Website Design from the Dock.
- Click Edit Website. The Website Designer will open.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Customize Text.
- Click the Labels tab.
Use the dropdown to filter the list by:
- Select the website language you want to edit.
- Search for the label or message you want to update.
- Enter the replacement text in the editable field next to the default text.

Your changes will be applied to the event website automatically.
Customizing Page Text
Use the Pages tab to modify text that appears on specific pages of your event website.
- Navigate to Design > Website Design from the Dock.
- Click Edit Website. The Website Designer will open.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Customize Text.
- Click the Pages tab.
- Select the page you want to customize from the dropdown.
- Select the website language you want to edit.
- Search for the text you want to update.
- Enter the new text in the editable field next to the default text.

You can customize text from pages such as Home, Agenda, Speakers, Discussions, Tickets, Networking, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Gallery, and other pages enabled for your event.
Customize Alt Text for Images
Use the Alt Text tab to add or update alternative text for images used on your event website. Alt text helps improve accessibility by describing images for visitors who use screen readers. It also helps provide context when an image cannot be displayed.
- Navigate to Design > Website Design from the Dock.
- Click Edit Website. The Website Designer will open.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Click Customize Text.
- Click the Alt Text tab.
- Select the page that contains the image.
- Select the website language you want to edit.
- Review the image preview.
- Enter descriptive alt text for the image.

You can also add or update alt text from the image editing panel when managing media on the website.
Customize Text for Multiple Languages
If your event website is available in multiple languages, you can customize text separately for each language.
Select the required language from the language dropdown in the Customize Text panel, then update the labels, page text, or alt text for that language.
This helps you provide a more localized website experience for attendees.

- Changes made in Customize Text apply to the event website automatically.
- If your event website is already published, republish the website to make the latest changes visible to attendees.
- Use clear and concise text when replacing default labels and messages.
- Add meaningful alt text for images to improve website accessibility.
