Preview and Publish

You've planned your event and designed your website. Now all you have to do is get your event out there to the masses. You've got a chance to spark interest in potential guests, and for them to share their interest with others, further promoting your event.
 

Sharing a preview

Preview your website for desktop and mobile, before hosting it. Share the preview with other members of your team to get their opinions about the content.
 

  1. Go to Design > Website, from the Dock.
  2. Click Preview. The web view for desktop is displayed by default in a new tab.
  3. Click the Mobile tab. A dynamic view of the website on a mobile platform is displayed.
  4. Optional: Share the URL of the Preview page with other event team members.
 Note: You can preview your website at any time by clicking the Preview link in the top-left of the Website Builder and Event Console.

Preview after modifying a published website

After you've published your website, let's say that you've modified the time duration of a session in the agenda and want to preview the change. You can preview this change before publishing it to the live website.
 
 
  1. Hover over the Republish button or click the dropdown at the top-right corner of the Website Builder, to access the Preview link for a published Website.
  2. Click the Preview link in the resulting pop-up.

Note: The Publish button will be changed to Republish, to indicate that a change you've made has not yet been updated on your online website.

Publish your website online whenever you're ready. Once published, you can make changes as needed and update your live website instantly. And once your event is over, you can unpublish it whenever you like.

Publish a Website

Publish the microsite to tell everyone about your event and enable them to sign up to learn more.



  1. Click the Publish button at the top-right corner of the Website Builder. A dialogue box with the event progress percentage will be displayed.
  2. Enter a name for your event Website in the Your Website URL text box.
    Note: Your Website URL will include the "https://" prefix, which indicates a user's secure connection through SSL. The "https://" prefix is followed by the subdomain name, the domain name, and your event website's name.
  3. Click the Publish button in the dialogue box.
    • Optional: Click the link in the resulting dialog box to be directed to the live website.
    • Optional: Click Promote this Event to start letting people know about your event.
  4. Click Maybe Later to close the dialogue box. Your event will now be moved to the Live tab in the Events tab.

Complete your Website

An incomplete website that lacks the relevant information won't be attractive to attendees or potential guests. Get an overview of the areas you can improve, and fill in any missing details.



  1. Go to Dashboard, from the Dock.
  2. Click the Overview tab. Options relating to the event will be displayed in this tab in a tiled view.
  3. Click the View details link Progress Tracker tile in the Event Console. The Progress tracker page will display. This page captures the percentage of the your event's and website's progress, displaying a list of areas that can be improve.
  4. Click the Learn more link associated with each item to see a list of what's complete and what's not.
  5. Click Exclude next to any item if you want skip them and not consider it as an item to be compelted for your event.
  6. Click the Edit button near the incomplete items, to navigate to that page. Complete the required details to give your potential guests more information about your event.

Republish a Website

Sometimes you'll want to make a modification to your published website, like adding a finalized date for a TBA session, or featuring a new speaker. Republish when you make these changes to keep your live website up to date.



  1. Click the Republish button at the top-right corner of the Website Builder.
  2. Click the Publish button in the resulting dialogue box.
    • Optional: Click the URL in the resulting dialogue box to view your live website.
    • Optional: Click the Promote this Event link to let people know about your event.
  3. Click Maybe Later to close the dialogue box.

Unpublish a Website

You can take your website down anytime you want to make it inaccessible.



  1. Click the dropdown at the top-right corner of the Website Builder.
  2. Click Unpublish. The Unpublish Event Website dialogue box will appear.
  3. Click Unpublish.
