How to integrate Zoom with Zoho Backstage

Integrating with Zoom

Zoom is a cloud platform for webinars, chat, and video and audio conferencing. Integrate Zoom with Backstage to host your sessions online easily and in an engaging way with their in-meeting tools.

Configure Zoom with your portal 

Link your Zoom account with Backstage to activate the Zoom webcast service option in the Event Details tab in the Microsite Builder. When creating your online event you can select the Zoom option from the list of webcast services for a particular event. All sessions and related data such as polls and Q&A created on Backstage will also reflect on your Zoom account.

After configuring Zoom in your portal you can activate the Zoom webcast service option when creating your event. Select between the Zoom option from the list of webcast services in the Event details tab in the Microsite Builder. You can then choose between Zoom Meetings or Zoom Webinars for broadcasting your  sessions.



  1. Click the Settings tab in the top bar of your portal.
  2. Click the Integrations tab.
  3. Click the Configure Now button that is associated with Zoom. The Zoom Integration panel will display.
  4. Click the Connect with Zoom button. The Agree to Zoom's privacy policy dialog box is displayed.

  5. Click the Proceed button to navigate to Zoom in a new browser window automatically.
  6. Provide permission for Zoho Backstage to access your Zoom account. You will then be automatically redirected to the Settings tab of your portal. Your Zoom account will be connected to Backstage and your Zoom account details will be displayed in the Zoom Webinar integration panel.

Note: To integrate Zoom with Backstage you must be in the Pro plan or a higher plan with a webinar add-on in Zoom.

Disconnect Zoom for your portal

Disconnect the Zoom integration from your portal. This will delete all event data related to the Zoom integration.



  1. Click the Settings tab in the top bar of your portal.
  2. Click the Integrations tab.
  3. Click the View Details button that is associated with Zoom. The Zoom Integration panel will display.
  4. Click the Disconnect link associated with your Zoom account. A pop-up will be displayed.
  5. Click the Disconnect button.
The Zoom integration is a paid feature enabled based on your subscription plan.
