Forte
Forte is a payment management tool that processes in-person and online payments and streamlines transactional operations for businesses. Integrate it with your Backstage portal to receive fast and secure payments from ticket sales and manage refunds for your events. Backstage doesn't charge you for ticket sales but you might have to pay Forte a transaction fee. Contact Forte to learn more about their transaction and processing charges.
Backstage only supports card payments through Forte and all major credit cards can be used for transactions. Backstage users can use Forte if their payout country is the United Kingdom, the United States of America, or Canada.
Note:
- Before adding a payment gateway for your portal, ensure that you've set a payment mode and selected your payout country. You can do this on either a portal level or an event level.
- If you're setting up your payment gateway for the first time, you will be asked to select it when choosing your payment mode. Select Forte from the list of payment gateways in the Add payment gateway panel and enter your credentials to proceed with the integration.
Configure Forte for your portal
Add your Forte merchant account to Backstage to collect payments from tickets sold through your event website. Sign up for an account now if you don't have one already.
The following Forte credentials are required to integrate it with Backstage. You can find these details by signing in to your Forte merchant account.

Currency
|
Select the currency you wish to receive payments in. The currency entered here should be the same as your base currency.

Organization ID |
A unique ID associated with the organization in your CSG Forte account. You can find this in the Locations module in your Dex portal. |
| Location ID |
Enter the Location ID that you would like to associate with Zoho Backstage. You can find this ID in the Locations module in your Dex portal.
|
|
API Login ID
|
A value that identifies your Forte account. This is available in the Credentials tab under the Locations module. |
| Access ID |
The Access ID is your username for API authentication, which can be found in the API Credentials module under Developer. |
| Secure Key |
Secure Key is your password for API authentication, which can be found in the API Credentials module under Developer.

- Go to Portal Settings > Payment > Payment Setup tab, from the Portal page.
- Click the Add Payment Gateway link in the Payment Gateways section. The Add Payment Gateway panel will appear.
- Select Forte.
- Click Done. The Forte side panel will appear.
- Choose the currency for your transactions from the Currency dropdown menu.
- Enter the following details from your Forte account:
- Organization ID
- Location ID
- API Login ID
- Access ID
- Secure Key
- Click Done.
