Overview
Session recordings are a valuable asset, whether you want to revisit the presentation, share it with others, or analyze how your audience interacted during the session. Zoho Backstage allows you to record your sessions and access them anytime after the event.
All recordings are captured at a standard resolution of 720p (1280 × 720 pixels) to ensure a balance between video quality and performance. If you start and stop the recording multiple times, each segment will be saved separately; all recordings from a single session will be listed together for easy access and management.
Why use session recordings?
- Review your session to understand what went well and where you can improve.
- Track audience interactions such as live reactions or Q&A moments.
- Share the recording with team members, stakeholders, or attendees who missed the live session.
- Keep a copy for your records, training, or compliance purposes.
If a session is recorded in multiple parts (e.g., you stopped and restarted the recording), each segment will be saved as a separate file. All recordings from a single session are accessible from one place.
Viewing and Managing Session Recordings
To access session recordings,
Navigate to Manage > Sessions from the Dock.
Locate the session you're interested in.
Click the View Details button next to the session name.
Go to the Recordings tab.
Here, you'll see a lost of all recordings made during the session.
Session Recording Playback
Play recordings directly on the page by clicking the playback icon associated with each entry.
- Navigate to Manage > Sessions from the Dock.
- Locate the session you're interested in.
- Click the View Details button next to the session name.
- Go to the Recordings tab.
- Click the Play button associated with the recording you want to watch.
Downloading a Session Recording
Download any recording to save a local copy for editing, archiving, or offline access.
- Navigate to Manage > Sessions from the Dock.
- Locate the session you're interested in.
- Click the View Details button next to the session name.
- Go to the Recordings tab.
- Click the Download button associated with the recording you want to download.
Deleting a Recording
If you no longer need a specific recording:
- Navigate to Manage > Sessions from the Dock.
- Locate the session you're interested in.
- Click the View Details button next to the session name.
- Go to the Recordings tab.
- Click the Delete button associated with the recording you want to remove.
- Confirm deletion in the dialog to permanently remove the recording from your session.
